Computerific!, a computer training and consulting company, was started by Sarah E. Green in the early 1980's to provide corporate clients, as well as small businesses and individuals, with office automation and computer training services. She has experience in designing and implementing office automation systems for such clients as American Microsystems, Inc., (a beta test site for Microsoft), Hewlett Packard and United Way of Santa Clara County.

In July 1991, SEG Associates opened the Computerific! training center in San Jose, CA in the heart of Silicon Valley. Since then Computerific! has responded to the business community's needs, as well as the needs of local Private Industry Councils. Computerific!  has served clients in private industry and government-sponsored programs while achieving much satisfaction in transferring computer skills to dislocated workers and disadvantaged individuals.

The accelerated, yet personalized, program has assured job success for 7 out of 8 participants (as evaluated by the Private Industry Councils that continually made referrals to Computerific!).

In its pleasant surroundings, students had an opportunity to re-think their career goals and gain skills and confidence to re-enter the competitive job market. Computerific! has been listed in the San Jose Silicon Valley Business Journal's "Book of Lists" as one of the 15 largest training companies in Silicon Valley.  Computerific! was also the winner of the PACE award for Excellence bestowed on Computerific! by United States Secretary of Commerce, Ron Brown, for the most innovative means of preparing the workforce for the 21st century.

Sarah realized her dream by opening the Computerific! facility in downtown San Jose. She has successfully provided training to several types of clients - corporations (e.g., Hewlett-Packard Corporation and Rolm Systems), municipalities (City of San Jose), school districts (Alum Rock),  small businesses, clients of several Private Industry Councils (Silicon Valley PIC, NOVA PIC and Alameda PIC) as well as to individuals.

Computerific! has been an off ramp on the Information Super Highway and is navigating the business community through the sea of information that is vital to future business success.

For corporate clients and small businesses, Computerific! provides on-site classroom training of a customized nature directed at: (1) meeting the client's specific objectives and (2) creating an environment conducive to learning.   Computerific! is responsive to the needs of the individual students and effective at introducing technology to the workforce. Training is available for the most popular business applications, predominantly Microsoft products.

Individual (one-to-one) training or small classes allow maximum growth and a focus specific to the assigned tasks. This modality is recommended for students who are computer-phobic or require special attention due to language needs. It is also effective for assuring maximum learning and to accelerate productivity and earning power.

Among Computerific!'s innovations is our Career Transition Program for laid-off workers. Participants in this program are prepared to re-enter the workforce with updated skills, and they can be custom-trained to meet the specific needs of a company.
